Dan graduated in 1980 from the West Virginia School of Pharmacy and practiced pharmacy for 18 years in Orlando, Florida. He and his wife Barbara looked to broaden their horizon by selling their lakefront home, leaving their careers, and switching coasts to settle into what they consider to be one of the best locations to live in the country. The climate, the clean air, the friendly people and the haunting pristine beauty were magnets drawing them to the area. They have both thrived in this environment with successful businesses being just one sign of that. Barbara is the owner of Handcrafted Interiors, the local premier company for custom work in all things fabric. After 18 years of retail pharmacy management, Dan decided to redirect those people skills into another people profession...helping people locate and/or sell their properties. Having made the move himself, he has a special insight into the challenges, rewards, and nuances of moving to this remote, yet cultured area. Dan can assist you with making some of those difficult decisions and some of the possible repercussions and many rewards they may bring.

I get to do what I love every day, sell real estate in the Sea Ranch. I joined The Coastal Real Estate Company/ Liisberg & Kalinoski in August 2014 as a full-time real estate agent. I’ve been a full-time coastal resident since 1999, 14 years as a full-time Sea Rancher. Always dreaming of living on the West Coast, I left the New York/New Jersey area and the corporate world behind and moved to the Bay Area in 1996. In 1999, an opportunity allowed my husband Paul and I to move full-time to the Sonoma/Mendocino Coast. Prior to becoming a real estate agent I was co-owner and gallery director of Studio 391, a photography gallery in Gualala with my husband, Paul Kozal, for 10+ years. I was a founding member of the Cypress Village Gallery District and served as co-director of Art By The Sea/The Sea Ranch Art Tour since it’s inception in 2011 through 2014. My passion for architecture and design combined with a background in sales, marketing and advertising provides valuable insight to buyer and sellers. Professionalism, integrity, attention-to-detail and putting the client first have always been key to my successes. I welcome the opportunity to assist you with your real estate needs.

Patrick came to California in 1989 after a successful career as a Broker/Trader with the Chicago Board of Trade and is currently a licensed California Real Estate Broker. He settled in San Francisco, where he became involved in real estate in 1991. In 1995, he married a native San Franciscan who brought him to her beloved Sonoma-Mendocino Coast for their honeymoon. Patrick, too, fell in love with this area, and they began to work toward settling here. Patrick developed his interests in real estate into a successful career as a Realtor on the San Francisco Peninsula while preparing to move here. Sea Ranch owners since 1996, Patrick and Marcia then realized their dream, becoming permanent residents of the new home they have built on the bluff at The Sea Ranch. Now Patrick can combine his love of this area with his enthusiastic participation in real estate marketing. Pat brings exceptional diligence, attentiveness and follow-through to each of his clients.

My wife and I have owned a second home in this area since 1982 and we moved to The Sea Ranch full time in 1999. We built our own home here and began a new career in the real estate business that same year. Having gone through the entire process from raw land to finished residence we have considerable first hand experience that has proven to be very useful to our clients whether they are looking to purchase an existing home or to build their own dream. Prior to discovering this beautiful corner of the world I was very fortunate to have had a full and interesting life. I studied business at the University of Oregon, flew off carriers for the United States Navy, owned an air charter company in the Sacramento Valley and acted as Chief Pilot for an Electronics Company out of Grass Valley, California, and then, when we moved here permanently in 1999, discovered my current passion - real estate. From 1999 until 2008, I worked with Sea Ranch Realty. In 2008, I decided to join the newly formed Coastal Real Estate Company, because I liked their innovative concepts and bedrock values. Community is important to both my wife and myself. Wherever I have been I have served in local community organizations. I am a recently past member of the Board of Directors of Gualala Arts and currently a member of the Finance committee, belong to the local Flying Club, and served as President of our local Rotary Club. My wife, Kristin is also heavily involved in community affairs and devotes a lot of her time and effort to fund raising for various community needs. Our family immersion in our community is an important asset to our real estate clients. We can help our client understand the all important ethos of the wonderful group of people who live here. The right physical structure, on the right piece of land are important elements for a wonderful home, but these concrete factors are not the only critical ingredients that make for a great place to live. Government, community services, social activities, and perhaps most important of all, neighborhood, are all vital to happiness. There are people who buy here and then decide for a variety of reasons that they must move on. Others (like my wife and myself) are here for keeps. I would like to help you understand all of these factors so that you can make exactly the right decision about one of the most important things in your life - where you call home.

I first visited The Sea Ranch in 1968. My Aunt and Uncle had just built a home on Breaker Reach. After many visits to The Sea Ranch in my youth, Sea Ranch was a distance memory. In 2011, I rediscovered the playground where I once visited and dreamed I would live one day.

After renting many homes on the coast, I found my home in 2013. I purchased Pole House a classic Sea Ranch home which epitomizes this community's concept of living lightly on the ground. Pole House is literally built on seventeen massive posts firmly anchored into the ground. My passion for architecture and the history of The Sea Ranch gives me a platform to share with visitors what makes this place a wonderful site for a part time or full time home. After a quarter of a century as a professional skier and another few decades of marketing and fundraising in the health care industry, I’ve landed at the place I love. I am happy to help you find that dream home.
